About Me

I have traveled extensively basing photograhic works in Portugal, Canada, Cuba, France, Amsterdam, NYC, and most recently New Orleans.

As I tread this wonderful wacky world flying over deep seas I began capturing it all, creating a visual diary for when I’m an old broad with a good set of waist warmers I can have a reference for it all. The name Tooky was inspired by a nickname my mother called me as a child - Diary of Tooky.

I love to connect with people from all around the world. I'm deeply intrigued by different cultures and belief systems, I believe to experience and learn from another person’s perspective is an invaluable lesson in life and one that is free to us all. Traveling by far has been my best teacher.

I'm obsessed with experiencing the local side of wherever I go. I love to visit places with a back story or a heartbeat. A non-gentrified deli with cider wood walls and sticky floors full of worn fixtures. The kind of joint that serves the same old stable meals from day one. A place that holds memories for many who have sat within its walls. This is my idea of a dream spot to absorb and experience!

My work explores the philosophy and understanding of the destination, culture and it’s people. People of the world, real and raw moments. We all have a story to tell!!!

I have dedicated the past 3 years to building a body of work in New Orleans, documenting some of the unique cultural aspects of the city and in particular, its people. I have had a number of current projects within the arts fraternity working with various community outlets, capturing for Local Radio station WWOZ New Orleans FM. My work has been utilized in publicity, promotional material, and merchandise for performing artists and musicians. Cultural groups - (“the Mahogany Blue Baby dolls”, “the Divine Ladies Social Aid and Pleasure Club”), Entrepreneurs, Musicians ('Mia King', 'Hyprphlyy'), Festivals (French Quarter Festival, Jazz Festival), Charter schools and Dance schools.

I am currently working on ‘ CURVE CITY ‘ A photo book featuring various photography essays paying tribute to the city of New Orleans.

I am planning to return to New Orleans in 2024 to pursue new and ongoing photography projects. Stay Tuned for the exciting journey ahead.
